My C64
February 15, 2022The C64 is another computer I grew up with. Great machine, terrific for gaming, iconic in the breadbin design (for me the breadbin is the only real C64). Was less enthousiastic about the BASIC, so used mainly my Spectrum and Oric for programming, but dabbled in programming the C64 as well. Did LOTS of gaming on this machine.
Alas my original C64 is not in my posession anymore as I moved to a Commodore 128D.
But Christmas 2020 I assembled my Ultimate 64, a great recreation of the C64 with modern niceties like USB storage, HDMI and network. Collected parts in several months before.
In 2021 also added an original C64 again.
My present C64 collection:
Ultimate 64
- Ultimate Elite v1.4a board in a breadbin case and keyboard
- 3D printed parts for montage, a SID tap and a LED connector from COREi64
- ARM2SID for emulating 3 SIDS and FM
- C64 original breadbin
- 1350 datasette
- Commodore SFX music keyboard
- MPS-803 dot matrix printer
- Seikosha SP-180VC dot matrix printer
- NEOS mouse
